2024 Annual Performance

Arrow of Performance did better than S&P500 for the year 2024. It went up 29.3% where as S&P500 went up 25%.

Although, AOP still lags behind the S&P500 since inception. The compounded annual growth rate of AOP since 2010 is 13.3%, where as S&P500 compounded at 14.8%.

See the detail table below.

The S&P500 compounded just litter over 1% better than AOP, the total amount at the end of the 18 years of investment time makes a huge difference of 120%.

In dollar term, 1 Million invested in AOP would give you 5.7 Million were as S&P500 would give you 6.9 Million.

Here is the ups and downs in waterfall chart.

FY22 down year basically almost null’ed the gains of FY23 and FY24. Taking care of down year is so important in good investing. Same thing with FY11.

Portfolio Allocation

We made some switches in FY24.

We are very concentrated on top 4 of our holdings, which carry 91% of the portfolio.

Our favorite KPI, i.e. total holding periods went down because we made some updates. We opened few new positions and let go of few old holdings.

We let go of Nike and Alibaba, and welcomed Oracle and Meta into the minority family.

More about this in future posts.

3 of the top 4 holdings did better than the market.
